CREATING INCREDIBLE spaces through art & science

We believe balanced projects value design & buildability. For that reason we track both in a unique way to ensure both are well understood at each stage in the process, from initial design brief to complete project.

We believe great projects are not sheets of paper or drawings, they are built works of art that balance the forces of nature and blend design intent perfectly into its surroundings.

The founder of Headlands Design, Justin Botros, has decades of experience with a wide variety of Design, Engineering & Building projects that range in scale from large to small. A few large scale projects include the Bing Concert Hall in Stanford & the Snohetta Wing at SFMoMA.

Justin has a large portfolio of work in complex residential projects, R & D for the built Environment (Google) and also in developing new tools and technology to help the construction industry evolve.

A few examples of these tools & technologies are the development of the second largest CNC Machine in North America for GFRC Manufacturing & ai tools to enable architects, engineers & builders to simplify complex communication and project planning.

Another aspect of Headlands Design is a deep appreciation for art. We have worked with a wide range of world renowned artists on commission across the globe such as Andy Goldsworthy, Damien Hirst, Claes Oldenburg & Lawrence Argent and previously maintained a gallery space in a Julia Morgan designed building under the label The AB Gallery.
